Tassarya (“Tassarya”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates tassarya.com, an information and product-catalogue website for Bhagalpuri Tassar chaddars. We do not accept payments or complete purchases on this website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, who may process it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to tassarya.com. If you follow a link to Etsy, Amazon, Flipkart, Tassarya.in or another third-party website, that website’s own privacy policy applies to activity there.

2. Personal data we collect
Information you provide
We may collect:
- your name, email address and message when you use the contact form;
- your email address, optional phone number, preferred contact time and enquiry details when you request human support or a callback through chat;
- the content of messages you send to the AI chat assistant; and
- information you send when you contact us directly by email or phone.
Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, health information, biometric data or other sensitive or confidential information through the contact form or AI chat.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our hosting, security and website systems may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested page, referring page, date and time, error information and security logs. The website search may also process the words you enter.
WordPress and WooCommerce may use essential cookies or similar browser storage for security, administration, session continuity, catalogue functions, recently viewed products, cart state and source attribution. The exact cookies used depend on the features you interact with. WooCommerce cookies do not contain payment-card details.
We do not currently complete orders or payments on tassarya.com.
3. How and why we use personal data
We use personal data only as reasonably necessary to:
- respond to questions, support requests and callback requests;
- operate the product catalogue, search and website functions;
- provide and improve the AI chat assistant;
- protect the website, prevent misuse, diagnose errors and maintain security;
- keep appropriate business and communication records; and
- comply with applicable law, enforce our terms or respond to lawful requests.
Where applicable law requires consent, we process data on the basis of your clear action, such as submitting a form, sending a chat message or requesting a callback. You may withdraw consent for future processing by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed and does not prevent retention required by law.
4. Contact form and email
Our contact form is provided using WPForms Lite. The form collects your name, email address and message, together with technical form information such as the page URL and form identifiers. WPForms Lite entry backups are currently disabled, so submitted entries are not stored as a viewable form-entry database in WordPress. Form messages are delivered to us by email through SureMail and Zoho Mail and may remain in our business mailbox while reasonably needed.
Email delivery providers and hosting systems may process message contents and related delivery information to transmit, secure and troubleshoot email.
5. AI chat assistant
The AI chat assistant is provided through the Attendant WordPress plugin and the Google Gemini API. When you send a chat message, the message and relevant titles or short excerpts from public Tassarya pages and products are sent to Google so Gemini can generate a response. Public website content is also processed through semantic indexing so the assistant can find relevant information.
Our current Gemini API setup uses unpaid service access. Under Google’s published terms for unpaid Gemini services, Google may use submitted content and generated responses to provide, improve and develop its products and machine-learning technologies, and human reviewers may review or annotate inputs and outputs. For this reason, do not include personal, sensitive, confidential or payment information in chat messages. If our Gemini service tier or data-handling configuration changes, we will update this policy.
AI responses may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify important product, care, delivery or policy information with our team before relying on it.
6. Chat history and callback requests
Your current chat history is stored in your browser using local storage so it can continue between page visits. You can remove it by choosing New Chat or clearing this site’s browser data. Server-side conversation logging and downloadable chat logs are currently disabled in Attendant; however, messages sent to Gemini are processed by Google as described above.
If the assistant cannot help, it may offer a callback. Contact details are collected only after you choose that option. The request is sent by email to Tassarya through our WordPress email service and Zoho Mail. Attendant does not currently keep callback details in a separate lead database.
7. Cookies and browser controls
Cookies and similar storage may be used for:
- essential and security functions, including WordPress administration and protection;
- catalogue and session functions, including WooCommerce cart state, recently viewed items and session continuity;
- source attribution, which may temporarily remember how a visitor reached the website; and
- chat continuity, using local browser storage for chat history.
You can delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Some site functions may not work correctly if essential storage is disabled. We do not currently use a separate advertising or behavioural-profiling system on the public site. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or marketing tracking, we will update this policy and provide consent controls where required.
8. Service providers and disclosures
We may share or allow processing of limited personal data with service providers only as needed to operate the website and respond to you, including:
- our website and server hosting provider;
- WordPress, WooCommerce and website-plugin providers;
- Google Gemini for AI chat and semantic processing;
- Zoho Mail and SureMail for email delivery; and
- security, maintenance or professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, users or the website. We do not sell personal data.
Some providers may process information in India or other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Privacy protections and legal requirements may differ by location. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to limit data to what is needed for the stated purpose.
Provider information is available in the Google Gemini API Terms and Zoho Privacy Policy.
9. External marketplace and social links
Product buttons or links may take you to Etsy, Amazon, Flipkart, Tassarya.in or other third-party services. Tassarya.com does not receive payment details entered on those services. The destination service independently controls the information it collects for accounts, orders, payments, delivery, cookies and customer support. Review its privacy policy before providing information.
Links to social networks or other external websites do not mean we control their privacy practices. Merely following a link may allow the destination website to receive technical information such as your IP address and referring page.
10. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected:
- contact and callback emails are generally kept while the enquiry is active and afterwards only as needed for business records, dispute resolution, security or legal obligations;
- chat history stored in your browser remains until you start a new chat or clear site data;
- server and security logs are kept according to operational, security and hosting requirements; and
- information subject to a legal hold or statutory obligation may be kept for the required period.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we delete it, anonymise it or securely isolate it where deletion is not immediately possible. You may ask us about the retention period applicable to your enquiry.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect personal data, including HTTPS and access controls. No internet transmission, AI service, email system or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use the contact methods above if you believe information submitted through this website has been compromised.
12. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal data about you;
- provide access to or a summary of that data;
- correct, complete or update inaccurate data;
- erase data that is no longer required or lawfully retained;
- withdraw consent for future processing; or
- address a complaint about our handling of personal data.
You may also choose not to use AI chat and contact us directly. To make a request, email hello@tassarya.com with enough information for us to identify the relevant communication. We may need to verify your identity before acting. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may use any complaint or regulatory remedy available under applicable law.
13. Children
This website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal data through the contact form or AI chat. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, service providers, legal obligations or data practices change. The latest version and its revision date will be published on this page. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website where appropriate.
